MATT COOKE
The Penguins webpage has confirmed that Dupuis is out of the lineup for tonight's game against the Philadelphia Flyers; Cooke will be given a shot on the top line with Crosby and Malkin.

PAUL BISSONNETTE
Bissonnette will be on the fourth line with Dustin Jeffrey and Eric Godard.

The Penguins webpage recently reported that they recalled Bissionnette which would mean to me that Dupuis will not be in tonight's lineup in addition to the fact that the team may be wanting to put more physical presence on the ice to get them jump-started especially against Philly!!

MARC-ANDRE FLEURY
Therrien reported that Fleury will start in goal for the Pens tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers.

PASCAL DUPUIS

[UPDATE] Dupuis will be out of the lineup tonight and Therrien said that he will also sit out for tomorrow night's game against the Washington Capitals.

Dupuis practiced again with the Penguins yesterday afternoon at the Mellon Arena, but only stayed on the ice for half of the practice; his status is uncertain at this time.
“We’re not quite sure yet,” Therrien said.
PROJECTED LINES (from yesterday's practice)
Therrien kept Crosby and Malkin on the top line with Dupuis, so that would be dependent on whether Dupers is in the lineup tonight or not. Other lines:
Sykora - Staal - Cooke
Kennedy - Talbot - Satan
Minard - Jeffrey - Godard

MARIO LEMIEUX
Coach Therrien and Lemieux met to have a discussion after practice yesterday.
“We talk a lot with Mario. It’s not the first time. When you get a chance to have a person like this around you, you’re going to have to use him. It’s good advice.”

I can't say I'm a fan of Dupuis being on the first line, or that Malkin and Sykora have been split up, but Crosby and Malkin together sounds good.

God I hope we beat Philly.

FINALLY - another fan who feels the same way about Dupuis as my husband and I do (we never liked him on the top line either)!!

Malkin and Sykora should be kept together even though I like Crosby and Malkin on the top line. I think what they're trying to do is create a better chance of winning (like they're pulling out all the stops now to get out of this rut - sorta like they do when they're trying to score in the 3rd to tie / win the game) and after they're in a better position, the lines will go back to "normal."

They HAVE to beat Philly tonight!!

THANKS for leaving a comment!!
