[UPDATED] Penguins Injury Update

ROB SCUDERI
Towards the end of the second period, Scuderi laid himself flat out on the ice to block a shot and it ended up hitting him in the face (nose / forehead area); there hasn't been any updates or statuses on him, but be sure I'll have it here if I hear / see anything!!
[UPDATE] Coach Therrien said he is hoping to hear the status of Scuderi prior to today's practice (hopefully we'll know more later).

SIDNEY CROSBY
Crosby took a hit towards the end of the third period which seemed to cause some pain in the foot / ankle he injured last season around this time. He skated off into the locker room (and Ovechkin was ASS enough to pound on the boards behind the bench as he did so) and his status is still unknown - some kind of "lower leg injury" . I'm hoping this won't turn out to be a repeat of last year unless it means the team turns it around at this point.
[UPDATE]
It's been reported that Crosby injured his knee in yesterday's game and told reporters that he doesn't think it's "too bad."
"I don't think it's too bad," Crosby said. "We'll see [today]. I haven't seen [the replay], but it felt pretty bad. Hopefully, all goes well."

MAX TALBOT
Talbot left the game and headed into the locker room early in the third period due to some kind of injury. Bob Errey speculated that Ovechkin's skate grazed his hand, but later retracted it saying that he doesn't think that had anything to do with the injury. I'm certain it will be undisclosed, but hopefully Talbot will be back for the next game.
[UPDATE] Coach Therrien said he is also hoping to hear the status of Talbot prior to today's practice (hopefully we'll know more later).

RUSLAN FEDOTENKO

Stan Savran reported last night on Sportsbeat that Fedotenko won't be back in the lineup for another month.

SERGEI GONCHAR
Gonchar has been skating but not practicing with the team. Sportsbeat had a segment on last night with Dan Potash interviewing Gonchar who reported that just yesterday the team doctor gave him the OK to practice with the team beginning today. It will be the first time in almost four months! Stan also added that he won't be back for another 1-1/2 months or so which would take us up to the beginning of March.

PASCAL DUPUIS
Dupuis was on the ice practicing yesterday morning; he's questionable and may / may not be back for Friday's game against the Anaheim Ducks.

MIKE ZIGOMANIS
Injury / status still unknown.

This is not good news - we really cannot afford so many players to be out injured - fingers crossed our boys get back to full strength very very quickly.

I thought that one (Sid's) was a knee, not an ankle. Just reading that list gives me a sick feeling in my gut.
